Forever Bicycles

For Nuit Blanche (and the week following) this year, Chinese artist Ai WeiWei constructed a massive installation of bicycles called Forever Bicycles. It was an expansion upon another installation he’d done under the same title, but whereas the original installation was indoors and much smaller, this version sat in front of Toronto’s City Hall in Nathan Phillips Square, spanning roughly 3/4 of the adjacent skate pond. While the (quite literally) last-minute replacement venue was not ideal, it did provide the opportunity to capture some magic moments in a much smaller space. Andrew Cole (above photo), Victory Bells (second photo), and You vs. Me (third photo) were among a number of acts who performed that...

I’ve been going through some shots from live music gigs I’ve shot in the past year and will be posting a few choice images in the next few days. MorreĀ is a three piece rock band that has enjoyed success touring recently both in Canada and Europe. I’m told Morre is performing again at Lee’s Palace this coming March 15, 2013. If you enjoy classic rock in the Led Zep, Pink Floyd, Stones spectrum, definitely check them out!  ...
